Woodbridge P.B.A. Youth Hockey League
WOODBRIDGE PBA YOUTH HOCKEY LEAGUE
In the fall of '97 the task was undertaken by our Local
to start a Street Hockey league ( Sneakers only, no rollerblades) for township
residents ( ages 6 to 17 ). With the help of the Woodbridge Township Recreation
Department and members of the Woodbridge Town Council the League became a
reality.
The League has been chosen as an Official Program Center of NIKE/NHL STREET.
At the Opening Ceremonies Township Council Members were presented with a
$3,500.00 check from President Gary Larson to benefit the Woodbridge Township
Buddy-Ball. The Township started a Buddy-Ball Hockey League this year. The
money was raised from the Fourth Annual Charity Picnic held in August of that
year.
Brian Small, appointed member of the Executive Board in charge of Sports
Leagues, should be commended for his fine work in putting the League
together.

President Gary Larson ( center ) and 1997 Treasurer Victor Pusillo ( right )

court opening day.
