League Rules

ALL LEAGUES ARE NON-CHECKING LEAGUES

All players will be given a jersey, and sweat pants that must be worn to all games; league jerseys and sweat pants can not be altered in any way.

A game consists of (3) 15 minute periods. There also will be a 5 minute overtime if the teams are tied at the end of the 3rd period. With 5 minutes left in the 3rd period the clock stops on every whistle, except the 5-6 and 7-8 bracket.

FIGHTING

NO FIGHTING IS ALLOWED FOR ANY REASON!

Any player involved in a fight will receive a 5 minute penalty, ejection from that game, and face a (2) game suspension and/or possible expulsion from the league.

Any player who drops there gloves to start a fight will be ejected from that game and will face a (2) game suspension.

PENALTIES

A 2 minute penalty will be called on any player guilty of committing any of the following infractions: trip, hooking, roughing, slashing, checking, interference, charging and high sticking.

A 5 minute major penalty will be called on any player guilty of committing a serious check or slash and face a 2 game suspension.

A 5 minute penalty could also be called if the officials feel that the player guilty of the infraction was checking or slashing an opponent not only to stop him/her BUT ALSO TO INJURE THE PLAYER.

OTHER RULES

Off sides will be called when the player crosses the centerline before the ball does, except the 5-6 divisions.

To clear ball out of defensive zone the ball must cross the centerline.

Teams will be given 2 time-outs per game. Time-outs can't be carried over into overtime. One time-out per team will be given in overtime.

In the playoffs each team will get one time-out per overtime.

Teams will play 5 on plus goalie.

All players are required to where gloves, helmets w/cage or full face shield, and knee/shin pads. Male/Female athletic supporter is required. An end cap is also required on every stick.

League officials have the right to add and modify rules for the benefit of the league at any time.

At the completion of all games, players and coaches will engage in sportsmanlike conduct by shaking each other's hands.
